The connection and dubbing cable can be used between modern hi-fi devices with cinch sockets and older tape and cassette devices. The older hi-fi devices did not have high-level inputs in the radio socket for the recording line. The RCA outputs (up to 2 volts) overdrive the more sensitive DIN inputs (2-200mV). Therefore, when using the radio socket without level reduction, the recording is overdriven. A universal level reducer is installed in the recording channel of this cable (PIN 4 right and PIN 1 left), which weakens the recording signal for the DIN device sufficiently to make recordings possible again.
Compatible with all classic tape recorders and cassette recorders with a 5-pin DIN plug for recording/playback and all hi-fi devices with cinch connections. Simple connection: plug side 1 (DIN plug) to tape recorder/cassette recorder, plug side 2 (4x cinch) to hi-fi amplifier/receiver. Plug side 1: DIN plug, stereo, 5-pin, 180°, gold-plated Plug side 2: 4x cinch plug, gold-plated, color-coded and labeled (audio-out = tape recording, audio-in = playback from tape to amplifier)
